I recently bout a 91 power ram and the mirrors are in terrible shape.
The chrome plastic peels right off. I was wondering if I could strip the chrome off and paint the mirrors to get by till I get new ones. I was hoping to get thoughts on this weather it would be a good or bad idea. If good what color would look the best. The truck is a dark navy blue.

If you can remove all the chrome then you can pait them any color you want. Painting on chrome is not a good idea due to adhesion issues.
