Just a few more things I've learned. Hopefully this will help someone in the future.

Big block alternator and power steering pump brackets will work.

Buy long tube headers, not block huggers.

These motor mounts will NOT work on a '90:
Trans Dapt 4565 engine swap motor mount kit.

These are the motor mounts you need:
72 & Up 4WD Truck B/RB Swap or Replacement Kit

You will need to convert your ignition to the old style system.

Find a passenger side dump water pump housing and the original lower radiator hose will fit.

As long as you have a pic up coil you can use the electronic mopar ignition or use a MSD box.

By 'old style' I meant the Mopar electron ignition, not points.

I guess if you cut the factory wire harness apart and knew which 2 of the 3 wires to use, you wouldn't have to change it completely.

All you need is the pick up coil in the distributor(two wires). You can hook up a msd box or the mopar electronic ignition to it. The msd is the easiest to do.

Good info.
Do you have the information on how to tie into the factory ignition?

Factory ignition? What do you call factory ignition? The mopar electronic ignition? The one on your truck was controlled by pcm.

Yes, the factory ignition controlled by the PCM. Mine has a 3 wire plug at the distributor. Is there a way to use a 2 wire distributor with this system?

The 3 wire set up was for the pcm vehicles. One power one ground and the other was the signal wire. What dizzy do you have for the 383?
