Default 1984 won't start

Ok hi everyone, I'm new to this site so all input is very helpful.
I have a 1984 dodge 360ci I bought from a guy about a month ago, ive been trying to get it started and I ran out of ideas, the previous owner did a lot of the truck from rebuilding pretty much everything on the truck. He also replaced wiring and wire harness. My problem is the truck won't start, it has fuel, it has a new distributor, plugs, wires, resistor ballistor, ignition coil, ignition switch, alternator, all new. Please someone tell me something I don't know so I can get her running again.

Yes I have spark at the plugs and I haven't checked the compression yet, but I think I do.

Have you tried starting fluid to see if it will fire?

No i haven't tried that, but I have the air filter off, and you can see the fuel being squinted in the carburetor when I pump the pedal. I have a feeling though that it's not getting spark somewhere along the line.

What would be the best way to confirm you have spark? This is all extremely helpful.

The way I tested the spark was I put a screw driver in the plug, also what's weird is when I first bought the truck, the previous owner had it running but it would die after 30 seconds of running really smooth actually but would die if you didn't give it gas. And that was the day I bought it, after that it sat for maybe a week or less and it wouldn't start after that. The top of the motor was not getting oil because the oil crankshaft that connects to the distributor which turns the oil pump was broken. And the previous owner before giving it to me had take. Off the oil pan and passenger side valve cover to discover what was wrong. I replaced the oil pump crankshaft, had to remove distributor to do so, but it still didn't start before that though.
