Hello all! Bought a project truck 2-years ago and it has been just that. Would love to get it running more than 15 minutes at a time, using the wisdom from this forum. Since I bought it ole boy has hesitated when I first put my foot on the gas. Eventually it picks up and will fly! Sitting at an idle it does this strange thing where it sounds like someone pushes on the gas for a second. On days I am brave enough to take it for a quick trot either I make it from A to B with no problems, or the engine quits going down the road. All very suddenly. Sometimes it starts back up, other times I have to wait and try again. My "skills" are very limited and this far I have learned more than I ever believed I would know about working on a vehicle. Going from advice from friends with more experiences I have dropped the fuel tank, cleaned it inside and out, replaced my fuel pump, disconnected fuel lines at the throttle body and blown them out, replaced the fuel filter, replaced the fuel pump relay, replaced the idle speed control actuator, and lost ten pounds. I just got back in from spraying a soapy water solution along my vacuum hoses, around the tbi and by my intake manifold to try and find a vacuum leak all to no avail. I beseech you, all-knowing internet, have pity on this most foolish of fools!

I have three relays on my driver-side front fender, and have not checked timing. That requires a special tool I am sure? I am strapped for cash but can engineer some stuff maybe. Further research is a requirement. One thing is certain, and that is next time I go to the parts store I will have to grab some more ascetol, for I have no ascetol.
