Default Frame Help

I'm sure this has been gone through before but i'm new to the site and have a quick question...

I have a 1989 dodge 150 short box 4x4. Back half of the frame is nearly shot and i'm not having any luck finding a short frame to replace. Can anyone tell me if I can use the rear half of a long box truck and just removed the extra length ahead of the wheel wells? Is the frame the same behind the wells on both 6 and 8 foot box trucks?

the truck frames are different both ahead and behind the axle on the short bed trucks. if the frame is truely that bad at the back i really would not even consider repairing the frame at all. the front is most likely just as bad.
