Default Engine swap

1990 Dodge W150 pickup 5.2 318.
recently had the tranny rebuilt. I keep having issues with the motor and I'd just like to replace the motor. What would be the best motor to swap into? I would have a shop do the work. Crate motor?

The “best” would be a fuel injected magnum motor, like what the late 90’s one had.
it really comes down to what you want to spend, but depending on what issues your having with your 318, you might be happier having it built, or swapping it with the 360. I’m pretty sure the 360 should easily bolt up to the same tranny.

Put in a magnum motor, You can make it work with the TB injection that's on the truck.

Depends on how much you wanna spend.... and if you want it stock or not. You can spend anywhere from 1500, up to 15000 on a reman motor.......
