1989 D100 intermittently stalls and idles poorly..

are you sure your tach is setup correctly for a v8? i don't think there is any vacuum relate stuff that would cause it to idle that high.

Well another thing is I had the throttle body out and cleaned up really good got a lot of crap out of it and when hooked back up a couple vacuum lines don’t have vacuum anymore so idk what the deal is with it at all it’s just been frustrating I just wanna get done with and be able to enjoy it

I took out the whole thing cleaned it out new tps in and new map sensor and all and also got a gasket for it because it didn’t have a gasket where it meet intake manifold before but has one now but idk just don’t make sense to me

i really have no more suggestions. might almost need to find a shop that knows older vehicles and get them to take a look. there is no way it shouldn't be running like it should. there is really nothing to these system

Yeah it’s just crazy as hell honestly but like said idk why I’d all a sudden lose vacuum to like two or three lines that had it before so idk if some how got blocked somewhere or what..

Got a fuel pressure tester gonna measure the actual pressure as soon as can see what happens see if maybe fuel pump is weak idk

It read about 50-60 psi?...

Well after spending 6 hours or more on her today I set at tdc got some real nice plugs and wires new cap then hooked all back up and then took out throttle body and cleaned out completely then cleared all vacuum lines out as well idle is 900-1000 rpm now been driving all day doing really good! I’m so happy now next step new tires and freshen up interior little more!!! And new exhaust she runs like a champ!!
