Will a 1977 grill fit on a 1985

You probably could get it to bolt on, but the lines won't match up correctly at the fenders and possibly the hood. Plus you'll run into problems with the radiator core support; if you use the 70's core support it won't fit with the fenders without some cutting & welding, and if you use the 80's core support the headlights will be in the wrong place.

Did you have to tweak the radiator support to make it work? I thought that the 70's version had different connection points to the fenders than the 80's version.

Fender holes line up
The old 80's head lights bezels are longer then the tin grills of the 70's so there is a small body line and hole from where the square bezels should be.
I will be getting 70's quarter panels and mig welding in the the 80's wheel arches onto them
