Bigger Wheels

I have an 84 D150 RWD with the 318 V8 and the three-speed auto. Can I fit 16x8 wheels in the front and 17x9's in the back? I'm looking at some American Racing Chamber Series 1085 wheels.

I'm pretty sure you can. My friend has a 03 dakota and he has 17s in his wheel wells, and they dont look even close to touching, and I have 16s on my ram. They fit fine.
