Default 92 d150 fuel pumps

I ave a 1992 d150 318 with approximately 200k.replaced the original fuel pump with a carter brand in 1998.pump went out again this past october.replaced it and ran good till middle of january this year.same brand pumps.replaced it again and pump went out last week.fuel filter has been replaced,no debris on the strainer, clean tank, fresh fuel, power getting to the connector at pump.the relays have been replaced.i`m testing at the punp with a test light and grounding to the frame so i would expect a good ground.voltage comes on briefly when key is cycled.any ideas would be greatfull!!!!

Whole module. Carters which were the OEM manufactures back then. Most had a TSB for fuel pump update way back then and it was first replaced in 93. The next one was replaced around 07 and it was ok until last year. Now 2 more since. Same pump. There has got to be something shutting it done. Hate to go to another brand cause most are not as good as this one. Still digging

but you never know how long the pump has been sitting on a shelf. i know the carters might have been decent years ago but really hard to say if they are still good. i was told my 93 had a new carter pump in it when i bought it but it failed about 1 year after being replaced. i ended up just replacing just the pump and it has been good since. i forget which brand pump i used but it wasn't carter. i have been wanting to try the brute brand ones since they are suppose to be a turbine pump but still not sure if they are good or not.
