Engine coming out, time to de-smog but ??
thanks. i will try tomorrow to see if i can even read what is left of the sticker. i feel like it has just been getting worse over the 8 years i have owned it even tho i have only put 38k km on it in that time
No worries, probably the only things that will change are the VIN, which you can get off the dash, the build date, should be on your title, maybe that MDH thing, not sure what that relates to
hahaha because it was driving me crazy i went and looked and while the tag was the same lots of small differences in numbers. i was actually kind of surprised to see 195/75R15 on your tag for tire size. i think i remember my old 91 being 215/75R15 on the tag even tho i almost feel like those would be a bit small for these. all my trucks have usually had 235/75R15 or larger.

The stock tire sizes in the 70's and 80's were actually a bit small. Most people ordered the larger size off the bat. I've gotten old farm trucks that were only used on the farm with tiny tires.
I'd pull the insides of the smog pump and catalytic converter (if you have one) and leave them in place. That way, if MOT ever wants to get snotty about original equipment, it'll look stock. Also, when you pull the engine and remove the expansion plugs, put the engine in an engine stand and flush it with a garden hose while at a slight angle to the side. you'd be surprised how much garbage will come out. Both rust and sand from when the block was cast. This would also be a good time to replace the timing chain and the oil pump. Replace it with a high VOLUME pump. NOT a high pressure pump. A high volume will compensate for worn bearings inside and you'll get a lot of miles out of an otherwise untouched engine. A high pressure pump will blow the bearings out and shorten the life of the engine. Look around on your fender well and see if there is an emissions label that says "Non-catalyst". If it's there, you don't have a catalytic converter. If you have a D150 rather than a D100, you may not have the converter.
i believe the question marks should be 06010 LBS. they must have their own special way to convert weight because that don't seem to convert right but what is on the sticker. also would it be possible to put a S in after 2704 KG since all other weights seam to have it. looks good otherwise. my sticker has definitely seen better days.
I'll have to look around in the salvage yards for an early 80's W or D150. The 100's required the 150's had stickers that said "NON-CATALYST". You could make a few pennies reproducing those. I'll take a picture if I can ever find one.
Thanks Guys
Yep, I realised after I posted that the weight should have had KGS instead of KG, will rectify that no probs.
Also my sticker has the number 4187919 just after the box labled MDH but I didn't see any on your sticker. I think it may just be a part number of the sticker but nice to get it correct if possible.
Hey old grouch, while your at the salvage yard can you see if they have an inner left front fender. I only need the front section as mine is rusted off due to the battery leaking fluid on it for some time.
