Default Temp Gauge 1988 D100

Why is my temp gauge always at the halfway mark even when not running?

sounds like you got a broken gauges. the only one that usually does that is the amp gauge. the 91+ trucks usually rest in the center but 88 should drop all the way to nothing off.
