Default 1988 running too rich

My newly purchased 88 w150 318v8 runs rich. Heavy fuel smell when idling. When accelerating it hesitates a little before taking off. Once it gets past the first 1 or 2 seconds of accelerating it runs great. Thank you in advance on where to start.

Just 33 and 37. Computer is not original to truck. Came from junk yard truck that had a/c and automatic. Mine never had a/c and is manual. So I think those codes are bogus.

those codes usually pop up on most 88-91 trucks that don't have a/c or automatic overdrive. might need an o2 sensor. if you do replace it make sure to get a ntk brand one. i also don't know if it makes much of a difference my i really hate where they have the o2 sensor mounted on the 88-90 trucks. i moved mine to the y-pipe on my 89 since i didn't even have the factory exhaust manifolds to put the sensor in and putting it in the y-pipe seems like the better idea since it is what they do on the newer trucks.
