Default 93 8-foot SRW Pickup Box

I know that pickup boxes from 86-93 are direct replacements, but is there any compatibility with other years (or even other brands), either newer or older? I'm not too concerned about body lines matching. My box is pretty bad, and I fear the sides might fall off any day now, so I need to find something to replace it. Anything that bolts on, even with a moderate amount of fabrication or adaptation would be just fine. I have welding and torch capability, and a nearby steel supplier, so I can do whatever is necessary.

Hi, I have a 1991 standard cab, long box, that I am restoring. The box is in much better shape than the cab so it may have been replaced. It is off the truck, minimal rust, with tail gate and even bumper that I want to sell. I am going with a flatbed.

I'm interested. Where are you located, and what do you want for it?

I am located in Norton Shores Michigan which is just south of Muskegon.
Does $750.00 sound fair? I can be reached via phone, if that is OK to do. 412/215-0210.

Thanks, Wes

I'm in western Wisconsin, so that's a little too far for me. Shipping it here, or even driving over that way to get it would cost too much for it to be worth it. I appreciate the offer, but it's just not realistic.

Well, if you are interested, I can deliver it, depending on how soon you need it.

I truly appreciate your helpfulness, but the price is also well beyond my budget. I was hoping to find a rusty-but-solid box in the $250-300 range. I think I'm going to go a different route, and build a flatbed out of treated lumber.
