I picked this up about a month ago on a whim. Saw the for sale sign on the window and he spoke to me.

It's leaking some oil, but not too bad. It has 340k miles on it but was well cared for by what I can see. I'm only the 3rd owner. Apparently it has not been rebuilt, tyranny or engine.

I replaced the valve cover gaskets but it is still leaking from somewhere, hopefully it's just the crankcase seal. The AC doesn't work. Not my daily driver but with the Texas summer coming, it's going to get toasty in there.

Enough of the negative. He (I call him Wilbur) has a new radiator, Holly carb, water pump, alternator, fan clutch, master cylinder, distributor, rotor wires and tires.

most likely got a leaking rear main seal. pretty common on these things as they age. could also possibly use valve seals if they haven't been replaced before

that doesn't look like "340K miles".... in the 1st pic I can make out "34...." on the odo…. those had a 5 digit odo they don't show the "100,000 place". I'd bet more like 134k miles, but without that "100,000 place" digit it could be 234 K, 334K, who really knows? but it isn't "340K".
