hahaha too bad you didn't live a bit closer. i would be willing to lend out the 670 street avenger or i may have a thermoquad available soon lol. the thermoquad leaks and needs a re-seal but i got to admit it runs good hot or cold.

if you ever pull the intake make sure you have oven cleaner on hand. it works awesome for removing carbon. for tough build ups let it sit longer lol.

haha i wish i had space to park more vehicles but i am in town. driveway fits 5 if parked right but i also have a parking spot at my sisters place which is usually for my elecamino in the winter and my crap storage in the summer lol. her drive fits 6-7 cars depending on how tight you park lol.

A TR6 with 5.0? Oh, that's gotta be a LOT of fun.

I would say me to Orangeville about an hour and a half... my parents just left, so I would think they will pass by you in about an hour haha. I will get her dialed in eventually... but for sure getting rid of that electric choke.

Yes, TR6 with 5.0 roller motor... long tube headers, dual exhaust, E303 cam, performer intake, E-brock 600 cfm 4 bbl carb,
T-5 transmission with the rear end from a Nissan 300zx TT. 4.08 gears, with viscous limited slip. The rest of the car is more or less stock TR6, but use uprated performance springs, gas shocks, poly bushings, etc. I built the car from all the leftover parts I had lying around. I have been driving it for 2 summers now... still never put my foot all the way down... too scared!
Am I allowed to post non-mopar pics??

lol ya that is a bit of a drive. it is a bit nicer when you got some dodge friends that are a bit closer. even my closest dodge friend that i help wrench with occasionally is about 30 minutes away in Brampton but i did use to work less than 5 minutes from his place so i use to be able to stop at his place before heading home if he needed a hand. did a whole cab swap in 2 days of mainly after work wrenching. have definitely learned a lot wrenching on his trucks. i have also started liking diesel too thanks to him but just need to come accross a killer deal on a truck like his one. he payed $2k for a d250 with a diesel and it required less than 1/2 days work to get it ready to pass a safety.

Sounds good... but you might be waiting awhile for a deal like that.. far and few between these days. Certainly if you are willing to live with 2wd you can get them cheaper though.
If you are ever up towards Bruce county you can swing by for a pint. I probably owe you one.

hahaha ya he got a smoking good deal. i can live with 2wd. they make for a good daily driver most of the time since there is no step into them and they get a bit better fuel mileage.

thanks for the offer. not much of a drinker but if i am ever in the area i would definitely be interested in checking the dodges. love the crew cabs but you rarely see any decent ones anymore and you rarely ever see them on the road. most are pretty rotted out projects. i wish my dad had kept his. he was pretty heavily into dodges till he lost storage.

Sounds good, swing by anytime...
otherwise ill let you know if I am bringing the truck down south. I haven't been down in a bit....I guess i dont visit my parents enough.
my crew cab was new in '82, bought by my great uncle in around '86. from then on it was a summer truck.... no rust on it. It's the only crew cab I have seen in person. I am happy to show it off.

sounds good. nice to have something in the family that long. i don't remember what year my dads crew cab was. i just know it was in pretty good shape since it was from Alberta. it is what he drove when we moved from Alberta back to Ontario. i know he drove it for about 8 years after that but parked it when it started needing too much work. he eventually lost storage and it went to scrap.

I have had 4 D/W series trucks prior to what I have now... and knowing what I know wish I had never gotten rid of them. It's always the case. "If I knew then what I know now."
Too bad your dads truck went to scrap.
My crew cab, 'Donny', after Uncle Donald, is a forever truck. I will drive it until they ban fossil fuels.

yup. same here. i see what some used parts for and just shake my head. definitely very profitable to part out old trucks these days since there are some parts that are no longer available. i have kept as much as i can which has come in handy occasionally but always wish i had kept more lol.

haha may have to covert it to electric if it ever gets that far in our lifetime. i am not against electric vehicles. just battery technology isn't quite there yet.
