Default Engine blocks.

Does anyone know if the engine block from a 1992 5.2l engine is swappable with the block from a 1995 5.2l?

Yep, so long as the 5.2 is a magnum block, they are exactly the same. I think 92 was the first year for the magnums.

How can you tell if it is a magnum block?

Look at the valve covers, 5 bolts is LA, 10 bolts is magnum. Lifter angle is different as well, but, not sure you would be able to determine that just by looking at one.

Can also look at the casting # on the block, 318 53006714 or 53006657, 360 5302006.
