Need Steering Column Advice Please
When I bought this '83 w250, it had a floppy gear selector (auto transmission) due to PO or someone prying on the spot where gear selector arm fits into rotating barrel on column, spring gone, etc. I picked up a good column and was wondering if it is easy enough to swap out barrel (rotating fascia) that holds shift lever. Anyone know if they swap easy enough? I am trying to avoid swapping out entire column as the '83 and 84 are a little different (stalk, etc) Thanks!
