Hey my name is Steve I'm new here. I have an 87 D150 318 2wd automatic transmission.
i was wanting to change my transmission to one with overdrive. I wanted to know which transmission that is and what else would need to be changed. Like the driveshaft, cross member, mount, torque converter. I see options like a727 a999 on the parts locator. Thanks in advance.

 

An A500 518 or 46RH will work, They are basically all the same. You will need to shorten the drive shaft and move the trans mount back. PATC sells a kit to make the OD automatic.
