Default Motor swap/ transmission compatibility

I have a 1991 dodge d150 v6 Manuel 2wd and I’m looking at a 440 swap. Any ideas if my a535 transmission will 1 hold the power, 2 bolt up and work? If not what transmission will hold that power and is a manual?

Nope. Won't bolt to it, and wouldn't survive long even if it did......

The np435 or 445 4spds would be what mates up easiest.... Look for it and all the supporting bits in a 70's 400 or 440 truck.

Default Need a good tranny swap for a 318, one that’s durable and can take power

I have a stock 318, we will say all internals are stock like the cam, lifters etc. it’s got new headers and valve covers so really just fancied up the motor but my transmission is never pleased me and it has just gone out on me and I need a replacement! Any help would be nice 👍🏽 Need something strong and can take power I was looking forward to a 4 barrel swap on it but seems this needs to come first
