Engine Swap 318LA Rebuild questions.
I've got an 87 318 from a D150 with an auto trans to swap into my 88 and I was wondering if anyone is able to tell me exactly what I need for a rebuild and to remove the Smog system during the rebuild. I figure I'll just pick up a general rebuild kit for the seals and such.

I figured as much but was hoping someone more experienced might've had a trick to it.
Do you know if the 87 5.2l and the 88 3.9l had the same transmission hooked up behind it? I ran them through the Decoder, but it doesn't tell me what Trans was in it, just the engine. Both are 2WD Auto's. I didn't see that info on the door stickers either
EDIT: Doesn't much matter. Going to sell off my 5.2 and save up for one of those sick 500CI Turnkeys, and figure out which transmission once I've got that.
