Default Alternator Pulley Alignment

Well, I believe I have the AC belt problem (lots of squeeling) cured - AC shop put a belt on it that was way to narrow -it was riding way too deep down in the pulley. Now I notice that ALT pulley is off quite a bit from crank pulley. There is a new pulley on ALT but I have a feeling whomever replaced the ALT last, they either discarded original shims or lost them prior to installing. This truck is an '83 w250 with a 318 - anyone out there know if they have 1/2 inch shims on their ALT mounts? In my case, ALT needs to move out towards front of truck to be in alignment, thanks!
