Hi all. I'm new to the 1st Gens. I've had a 2009 4th Gen for 12+ years at this point, but I just picked up a 1st Gen a couple of weeks ago; a 1989 150 Power Ram with gas 5.9 to be exact. I'm trying to polish the turd a bit by doing a few small things. I've got her grille off, cleaning it up and repainting some of the messed up silver. My hood and fender badges are in good shape, but almost all of the black around the sides of them has come off. I was messing with the hood's front Dodge badge, and it looks like the guide posts were the only thing holding it on. I was able to give a little tug and it came right off. I've got it all cleaned and painted, and now it's time to put it back on. At least with the hood badge, it didn't seem to have any residue from double-sided tape. Also, the alignment studs don't look like one of those little silver nuts were screwed onto them. Should I put it back on with double-sided tape, or should I be doing something else?
