Default Engine Coolant Sender Range

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has the Ohm range for the water temp sender that would be on a 1989 dodge d100 with the 3.9L V6? It would be the temp sender that only has one wire that comes off of it and feeds to the temp gauge on the dash. I am trying to figure out whether my gauge is bad as my temp sender unit that screws into the engine has a resistance of around 500 ohms when cold and around 65-68 ohms when it is in near boiling water. My gauge in the truck reads cold still at 40 ohms and reads near the middle at 22 ohms and at the hot mark at 10 ohms.
