Default Identify transmission type

I have a 1989 D100 with a 3.9L engine. I'm trying to determine the type of transmission it has. It has the original transmission from the factory. It has a serial number stamped on the side of the tranny just above the pan that reads PK44314250024. I assume this serial number could identify the transmission type. Can anyone point me in the right direction for identifying the transmission type?

you can get a build sheet to figure out exactly what transmission you have. just have to put your vin in after the = sign to get the build sheet for the truck. they can sometimes not be 100% accurate but pretty good for the most part.

There are 14 bolts in mine and it looks most like the A500 -999-904 but not exactly like that. In mine, except for the corner that's cut off, the other sides are straight where the picture shows an offset in the side opposite the cut off corner.
