Default Computer relearn process?

Hey guys, having some issues with my truck as of late. Its a ‘92 W150 with a 318. It’s been idling pretty bad off and on and after some research I came to the conclusion that it was the TPS. Went and replaced it yesterday and it seems like I was right, my idle is a lot cleaner and it doesn’t stutter like it had been. Problem is that now it doesn’t want to start very easily. I have to cycle the key 2-3 times and let the starter run a good couple seconds before it’ll go. I just replaced the starter a few weeks ago and it had been working fine up to replacing the TPS so I assume it isn’t the issue. I was thinking maybe there’s some kind of relearn process when you replace the part? I know I saw a write up about something like that at one point, something about cycling the key so many times and the truck relearning itself over 50ish miles of driving or something.

Just curious if any of y’all that have been through this stuff know what might be going on.

Reset the computer. Just disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes. Hook it back up, to the key to "on" (not start), count to ten, (don't touch anything) then start the truck. It *should* figger things out fairly quickly.

yeah I know there’s not much there I just wasn’t sure what else to call it lol. I didn’t think just disconnecting the battery would do it, like I said I had seen a post about replacing the TPS or IAC that mentioned cycling the key a couple times or something to get the computer to like reboot and calibrate stuff again. Seems like that must’ve been for something else though.
