I have a 1989 Dodge D100 V6. I have a coolant leak at the freeze plug behind the motor mount and so I need to remove the mount. I have spent 12 hours or more trying to remove the lower nut. I have tried a combination of everything I can think of and cannot get a socket to fully seat onto the nut. I’ve tried using a knuckle, regular socket, deep well socket, 3/8” drive, 1/2” drive, breaker bar, and I cannot get this thing off. I’ve almost stripped it trying to use what bite I can get, and have also broken a knuckle.
I’m so mad at it. There’s nothing I can remove to make better access. I have a Hayne’s manual and a service manual and they both basically say the same thing. Remove the nuts…
