Default One rear brake locking up before the other 3 engage

I recently replaced the rear metal brake lines on the axle of my 1985 d150. Now the right rear is engaging before any other brakes engage. The odd part is that it's intermittent and doesn't do it all the time. It seems like when I drive it and use the brakes it tends to go away and the brakes work properly.
any ideas?

What do your brakes look like? Shoes/pads in good condition? How does the pedal feel? Is the pedal height correct?

I haven't looked at the pads. The pedal feels good and when they're working properly everything works as it should with the Front engaging first.
I'm thinking it's a proportioning valve or other hydraulic issue not a mechanical issue.

i would pull the drums to check things out. could have a sticky wheel cylinder or maybe the brakes are adjusted tighter on 1 side than the other.

Check your emergency brake cable. the truck I bought, 1987 W250, the emergency cable wasn't correctly attached to one set of brakes which caused them to not release correctly and drag.

Thanks, I'll take a look. If they were adjusted tighter on one side wouldn't it do it all the time? The brake on the problem side release properly.

the tighter they are the less the cylinder has to travel but if there is damage in the cylinder and the pistons are traveling farther they could be sticking. there is also the possibility that there is broken springs. and can be hard to say which is why i would recommend just popping the drums off to take a look. really doesn't take that much time to do.
