Didn't the SRT 10 trucks use the viper motor??? I didn't think the 48 would even bolt to that......
Yes viper motor and either did I. I always wondered why they didn't make a automatic viper. My guess is they didn't think the 47/8 would be up to the task and have a lot of warranty issues. I wonder if there is anything different in the 4 door srt trucks to make them bolt up? The viper motor went threw some changes over the years.

Well, if you believe Wikipedia..... the SRT 10 megacab did indeed use the 48RE trans, which would imply that it does indeed bolt up to it.
