Default Plow truck, front springs bottomed out

Hello and thanks,

I have a 91 diesel D250 4WD that is not licensed and used strictly to plow. The front springs are so weak that it's bottomed out all the time. Obviously I don't want to put a lot of money in to this heap, but can't really use it as is. I would welcome a solution which is cheap and easy. Would shocks with helper springs be enough to get off of the bottom?

Replace the springs. Shock mounts are not designed to carry weight, and certainly not the weight plus a plow.

I ripped apart a 2nd set of spring packs and stole the main leaf. Bucked the eyes off and added it in.
