Default Hot start issues

My 88 D100, 318 tbi runs fine except when the motor is warm during the summer. If I drive somewhere, stop, get out & come back to start it 5 or 10 minutes later, she acts like she's flooded. I'm thinking vapor lock, but wanted to see what ideas you folks may have. Thanks

Tbi doesn't experience vapor lock. The injectors have been known to stick open. When you shut of the engine remove the air cleaner and look down the throttle body. You should not see gas dripping. May also want to see what the fuel pressure is doing also. Do you have any codes?

Thanks. I cleaned out the throttle body about a month ago plus I installed 2 new fuel injectors last year. Didn't help. I have looked into throttle body for excess fuel but have never seen it.
The hot start issues is only in warmer months. It's better once I began using ethanol free gas, but it didn't 100% solve the issue. No codes are showing up either.

How many miles do you have? Was the fuel filter or pump ever changed? I would put a pressure gauge on it first before and after you drive to see what the pressure is.

Had 153k on the original before I rebuilt it as stock. The hot start issues carried over from the original LA engine. I've replaced fuel filter multiple times and rebuilt the fuel pump inside the tank. Yep we've put fuel pressure gauges on it multiple times. All that did not reveal anything.

Thanks for getting back to me

Need a scanner that can read live data, (ideally) or, test the two-wire temp sensor when the engine is at operating temp, see if it is within spec.
