Yeah, it seems not much is known by anyone lol. I definitely picked an unfortunate time to purchase it as im in college so money and time aren't plenty, stuck in the debate of trying to balance it all and fix it or just sell it

Find an independent shop with some older mechanics. They know the OBDI systems still, and likely still have the right tools to play with 'em. They should be able to figure it out, and get ya rollin' down the road again for not too much money.....

I appreciate the help, even if its no concrete answer having suggested directions is nice

Things are much easier to figure out when you can actually lay your hands on what you are working on. I made a joke once, that it would be cheaper for a member to fly me down to his house, put me up for a week, and have ME fix his truck, than it would be for him to pay a local shop to do the work..... He took me up on it, and next I knew, I was on a plane to Nashville.... It was a fun week though. Weather there was a LOT warmer than it was where I left.... Had plenty of time to get his truck squared away. It was a fun mini-vacation for me.

I've still got a couple of dwell/tachometers around here somewhere. Like Heyyou said, if I was there and looking at it, it might be a simple fix. I've had several 1st gens but not any with F.I.

HAHAHA that's very true words only do so much, same continent flight usually is pretty cheap too but again, kinda broke, so unless you're in the next province then sadly out of my range. I could send a video, show how it stalls and how it starts initially and after

Video wouldn't hurt.

That trick was years ago. I am not nearly so capable at this point.

You might want to mention where you're located too. Personally, I'm about as far from anywhere as one can be.
