Default 1993 w150 won’t run

Looking for advice

My 93 w150 died driving down the road one day. Replaced the crank sensor, tps and asd relay to no avail. Replaced the fuel pump and now it’s running but really rough and almost dies if you put it in gear unless you give it a good bit of throttle. I got the dtc codes 12 54 33 42 11 55 and from the looks of it its not getting a signal from the crank sensor, asd relay or distributor. I also tried replacing the coil today and that made it worse, won’t even run now. It seems with every sensor I replace it makes it worse. If anyone could point me in the right direction I’d greatly appreciate it, I’m at my limit.

53 Logic module internal problem

This is most likely the problem. You should have a # on the pcm, Have a look on ebay/net and see if you can find a replacement.

the code it gave was 54 unless I counted wrong. 54 is for fuel sync from crank sensor.

54 would be for the cam position sensor, not the crank sensor. It's in the distributor, just under the cap/rotor, and is more commonly referred to as the 'pickup coil'.....

It helps to read the whole description.

54 Internal logic module fault ('84 turbo only) - or camshaft sensor/distributor timing

I did replace that as well… pretty much the only thing I haven’t replaced is the pcm. Which if that’s the case I’d rather convert it to carburetor and be done with the electronics all together

Save all your original parts. If I'da done that, my 94 Dak 5.2, would probably run a lot better. Not all 'new' parts are better. It might be too late to save your parts. Maybe others can suggest how to test your old parts? I could use some help with testing mine. Probably a continuity test. For a Hall effect sensor, pass a magnet or metallic object in front of it, and it generates a voltage? Then what's the input voltage for? See, I'm a little rusty.

Ya know what my old man would say? S*&T in 1 hand, wish in the other, and see which one will keep you warm at night. ArGg, now I'm the old fart.
