Default 4x2 To 4x4 Conversion

After doing some off-roading today, I realized that I need a 4x4 system for my 1984 D150 with the 318 and A-727. Where can I find the parts to do this?

Cheaper and easier to just buy a 4x4 and swap whatever good parts off yours onto it. Otherwise you're looking at trying to find steering parts, whole axle, springs, brake lines, and who knows what else.

Good point. I probably won't be doing much more off-roading now, My rear diff. bottomed out on a trail - took two logs and a 5.9 Grand Cherokee to free it.

I would just go to a junkyard and buy a 4x4 frame with axels. Ask them if they can garantee (sp?) that it is straight and if they can put everything from your ram on it.

Are you seriously suggesting that he pay to have a wrecking yard swap stuff off his truck? [sm=alcoholic.gif]
It would be far cheaper to just get a running 4x4.
