Default life span of a 5.2L

anyone know the expected life span of a well taken care of 5.2L. I've got 115K on it and i was wondering how long my baby might live.

Mines probably got close to 250,000 miles on it, and still running strong. It's been reworked once and it really didn't need it.

My dad traded his in with something like 180,000 miles on his 97' ram.....never had to touch that motor. Also my 98' dakota had the same motor and it was a bulletproof motor.

The 318, 225 slant-6, and the VW horizonally opposed (bug engine) motors are the most durable gasoline engine engines out there. My father bought a new D15 in 1976 and still has it. It was rebuilt at 200K and is well over 300K now. Change the oil from time to time and throw in a can of restore and it will last for many years...

Forever. My Grand Cherokee had the 318 Magnum and had around 260,000 when I sold it. Didn't smoke or leak and still had tons of power!

My 91 318 has over 486000 original motor. Dunno if I just got lucky or what. no major engine work besides maintenance. Runs good and still strong. Maintenance is key.

my dad use to have a stock 360 with over 500,000km on it and he could spin his tires 16"tires at every set of lights. the whole time he owned it he never did a single oil change. he just made sure to keep the oil topped up.

My dad has an '83 Ramcharger 318 and it's still running strong with about 400,000 miles on it, although the freeze plugs are starting to leak.
