I have a 1991 Dodge D150 and I'm looking on doing a Engine Swap from the 5.2L Gas Engine to the 5.9L Cummis Diesel Engine.

you're going to need a new frame, transmission, fuel system including tank, driveshaft, rear axle, springs, shocks, and perhaps more. Still interested in doing it?

 

What Transmission will bolt up to it? What is the right Rear End for this Engine? And why the new frame?

 

I'll just save up and buy another older Dodge Ram with a Diesel this time. I have that 318ci with the 518 Transmission. If I drop a 360ci in there. What kind of Mods will I have to do to bolt it up? Know any good rebuild kits for the 518 Transmission, and will the 727 bolt up to the 360ci?
