Default Interior Colors - Question

I just ordered a Dodge R/T AWD. I ordered the leather seats so I had two color pattern options:
1) Dark Slate Gray/Light Graystone, or
2) Dark/Light Slate Gray

Does anyone know which of these two color patterns is the really dark and really light (almost white)combo...the pattern that you see in all of the pics scattered across the web?

I'm assuming that one of these patterns is more like a very dark gray with a slightly lighter gray (but still dark)though not much of a contrast...whereas the other pattern is more like a very dark gray with an almost white/very light gray (the one in all the pics). Hopefully my question is not too confusing. I'm just trying to figure out which color pattern above is represented in a majority of the pics on the web...thepics where the top of the steering wheel almost looks white. I went to Dodge.com but the two color patterns look identical in their pics and I know that can't be the case.

I'm looking forward to driving this car. I've never driven one before but I'veread some pretty good things about this car! I'm also looking forward toseeing how the AWD works in the winter time...although some posts below about the nav screen not working in cold weather hasme a bit nervous.

Thanks in advance toanyone who can help me out.

Voodoo,

You want option #1... the Dark Slate Grey/Light SandStone... which gets you the Black Dash and Carpets like my R/T. See my pictures in my post "And now the interior pictures..."

Outstanding!!! That's the color pattern I ordered...#1.

I'm curious...are there any pics out on the web which show the interior with the color pattern in option #2: dark/light slate gray? I'm just curious to see what it looks like.

Thanks for your reply Avenger_GA!

Check out this post... "My Interior Mods/Accessories". FUTIL's ride has the color scheme.

Thanks again Avenger_GA

I checked out the pics. I see the floor mats are different. Other than that it's a bit difficult to determine the shades of the colors over the internet. They don't look too different but perhaps the light gray is darker in FUTIL's ride vs your ride and perhaps the dark gray is not as dark as the gray in your ride (I believe you mentioned that the dark gray in your car is almost black)(?).

Either way, I think both the interiors are sharp looking.

I just finished reading a few of the other posts on this site and it really bummed me out to see the R/T AWD does NOT have the sport suspension/steering found in the R/T FWD. I wonder why that is...and I wonder if it makes a huge difference? I hope I don't get this car and find out I don't like how it drives.

Thanks again Avenger_GA

I went with the FWD because of the sport tuned suspension.. However with winter approaching I am wondering if that was a good move.. After talking with others on the forum I don't think you will notice the difference by not having the sport tuned suspension and the added AWD option should by far come in handier than a tighter suspension system that you can't notice anyway because the stock tires add too much play to the steering.

The FWD handles well but its not like the car is on rails due to the tires.. I would like to upgrade my tires to see the difference but last time I checkedI would need to get different size rims to upgrade to a higher quality tire as options for the stock wheel size are low at this time.. (Not in the mood for spending the $ on rims and new tires at this point in time) By the way.. Im not complaining about traction as the tires have been pretty good in that area so far just that they add some sway..

So in a nutshell I dont think you should be worried about your decision as you should be happy with the AWD suspension and as long as you dont go test driving any FWD Avengers you wont know what the difference is anyway (As small of a difference that it is) Plus you can laugh at all the FWD Avenger owners in the winter spinning their tires (Hopfully not me)

Thanks Futil...you put me at ease a bit. I was really concerned that I wouldn't like how this car drives but I think you're right...as long as I don't test drive a R/T FWD, I'll never know what I'm missing! Besides, living in MI, I could really use the AWD.

Actually... You probably wouldnt notice the difference even if youdid test drivethe FWD too.. Also by what i hear if your car loses rear traction in a fast tight turn the AWD kicks in allowing you to keep the car going fast and stable.. Plus you can always throw in a stabilizer bar inlater to tighten up yourride.. Honestly if I was to buy the car again right now, I would go with the AWD..

I would expect a smoother ride in theAWD versus the FWDand the only time you would need the sport tuned suspension would be if you swerve in and out of traffic at high speeds or hit off ramps at high speedsfrequently and even without it im sure the AWD would do just fine in those situations.

Also.. Think of it this way.. If im wrong, then you will wreck the car and your insurance will flip the bill for a new FWD Avenger for you

Quick clarification about the interior colors.. if you get the Dark/Light Slate Gray the lower interior is all dark grey and grey with a so called light grey upper half of the interior (Which is off white in my opinion) so ifyou wanted an all grey lower interior then you would go with the Dark/Light Slate Gray. (You were already clear on that though so I dont know why I even mentioned it)

I was hoping for a matching grey upper interior/ headliner when I ordered the car but now i have to redo the interior cause im not liking 3 different color tones in the car.. The funny thing is I would never have messed with all this stuff on my last car which was a 97 Avenger but on a brand newAvenger I am planning on redoing nearly everything.. Its Gonna look like a pimp mobile when im done lol

uh-oh...maybe I didn't order the one I want.
If you go to the link below, which interior color scheme is this? The link below should take you to the avenger pics at www.dodge.com ...I'm looking at picture #2 of 23.
