LOL JBattley.. yougave me a good laugh... I do appreciate the faith you have in me lol

JGAMustang,
Assuming that all the wires have been rewired back to their correct locations (If you are not sure recheck your wiring) and that you didn't see any little electrical pops when you hooked up the wires..I have a really heart sinking feeling that you may have wired a positiveor speaker wireto the CAN-Bus which would cause that issue..

If you are not familiar with what a CAN-Bus is I will give you a little info on it (Bearing in mind that I am not a CAN-Bus expert) but basically CAN stands for Controller Area Network and it allows electronic devices in your car to communicate with other devices. It controls aLOT of stuff in your car like door locks, making the MyGIG radio stop playing video in drive (I hate that one so I had to mention it), your ECU, transmission, basically everything that has a sensor, switch, or simpledevice that containsthe simplest of information like car seat positionsis connected to it..You should have2 CAN-Bus wires running to your radio (Pins #2 (White) and #13 (White/Orange)on the large grey radio plug). Cutting, shorting, passing voltage through, or the pulses of voltage from a speaker hookup to the CAN-Bus can cause all sorts of problems including your car not running at all due to frying out the CAN processor or an electronic device connected directly to the Bus (If power was passed through it)..

I am hoping that this is something small as the chances that something as damagedalong the CAN bus are high.. A lot of people are used to cars without networks in them and just assume wires are wires since they are used to working on older cars (That was me.. and luckily I learned about the CAN before I started tapping into wires to find a turn on lead for my amp)

But lets start small.... Check all the fuses under your hood and make sure none of them popped.. If that's ok then disconnect your battery and let your car sit without power for a few hours to reset the computer.. When youconnect the battery again your car will most likely act weird for up to 45 minutes as all the sensors need to rebuild data. I would also go back and recheck your wiresand make sure you have solid connections especially pertaining to the CAN-Bus wires.

If the problem persists you may have fried something or You may just simply have to reset a tripped fault code in the computer which you can do by yourself if you purchase a ScanGauge II ( http://www.scangauge.com/) or a computer code scanner with reset ability.. I figure if you are going to buy one then might as well go with a ScanGauge II as then you can actually use it all the time in your car instead of having it sit in a closet or toolbox somewhere..

Actually I was just thinking about my last paragraph.. The "If the problem persists" one.. and I think I should change that to If the problem persists then take the radio out, get a roll of electrical tape and start from as far back on the cut wiring harness as possible and start wrapping the harness as neatly as possible working your way up to cover up that the harness has been cut with a professional appearance of tape so the dealer won't notice and have them deal with it for free instead of spending $200 on a ScanGauge or other device meant to reset the service engine soon light becauseI think that the chances are low that you can fixyour type oferror light by using a computer code scanner..

Unless you really want a ScanGauge cause they are pretty cool..I have one in my car to monitor fuel consumption and voltage even though monitoring fuel consumption is a waste of time because I am a lead foot that gets around 6-8 MPG with my car But there's tons of othersensors that you can monitor with it too..
