Default Front closure panel

Greetings!
Living in MI, my Avenger has suffered some winter damage. The front closure panel was damaged in a recent snowy outing. That's the large plastic panel that mounts to the bottom of the front bumper cover and attaches to the fender liners and a few other locations. Is this something vital? I haven't noticed a change in cooling efficiency or mileage so I'm curious if I need to spend the $70 or so for it right now.

It may serve you well to replace as alot of stuff will get up in your engine compartment and may cause damage.
