Question 2008 avenger

my daughter has a 2008 avenger. just put on new tires on front and has a funny sound or wine. old tires were 225/55r18. she had 225/60r18 put on. never had the noise till the tire change. any ideas what I can tell her it could be. does it at low speed as you speed up then goes away

well... make sure the lug nuts are torque down and wheel is not loose...


Wait, so now your front and rear tires are different size??

yes. the front are 60's and the rear are 55s. thanks for replying

I would jack up the vehicle and loosen all the wheel nuts on the front. Then using a torque wrench tighten the wheel nuts to 95 ft lbs doing every other nut until all are evenly done. A lot of places use just an air gun to do tire changes and do not alway get an even tightening of the nuts. Some end up being overtight and some under and if left this way can cause warping of the brake rotors which is an unwanted added expense.
