Default receiver question

hi i have a 2008 Dodge Avenger R/T that i recently purchased. it has the stock radio with the sirius satellite, 6 cd, am/fm with the uconnect and what not. sales code is REQ. i recently noticed i have no cable for the satellite from the back of the stereo to the connector thats underneath the glove compartment. i purchased the proper cable online and it still gives me no signal when i hit the sat button on the radio. i have talked to the people at siriusxm, and they asked if the cable from the antenna is broken or anything. told them i can't tell and i don't know how to tell either. but also does anyone know with this radio with the sales code i provided has the satellite receiver built in or if its under one of the seats, and if anyone would know how i can tell if its gone bad.

GhostWolf76,

You may review your factory build sheet here, http://www.dodge.com/webselfservice/dodge/Recall.html. This will tell you what the vehicle came with at the time of production. Simply click "Equipment Listing" on the left hand side under the heading "Your Vehicle" and enter your 17 digit VIN #.

ok Dave, as much as that link was resourceful, it doesn't nor you didn't answer my question. i already knew it has a built in satellite radio. what i don't know and i found out online that not all radios are the same and some have built in receivers for the satellite part of the radio. as some are not built in to the radio. i also want to know how to tell if its bad without taking it to the dealership or a mechanic thanks.
