Exclamation 2010 Dodge Avenger Low Power

Not only is this avenger running rough at times could be due to misfiring cylinder I'm getting a PO 304 reading. But the main problem is the electrical icon is flashing when I start the car. When it is flashing the car won't go over 30 with only 2500 rpm. To get the icon to stop flashing I have to turn of the car and restart it, but only after I has been running for a few minutes. After that I get the power back. I know the alternator is functioning because I am getting 14.7 volt reading from the battery and with the mysterious battery drain that no one can figure out the alternator must be working. .

Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

Thanks for reading my post.

Do you mean the lighting bolt on the dash?

Yes. I thought a dirty throttle body was the problem. I cleaned it and it got rid of the of the lighting bolt icon I thought, but it started again. I'm thinking of replacing the throttle body and for the missing I'm going to try to replace the spark plugs.

Thanks for reading my post.

Wellsir ... I had the throttle body and the spark plugs replace and there was absolutely no change at all. $160 for parts and labor down the drain. I have given this car a name ... Christine ... from the Steven King movie ... and Enigma .... like puaaling ... Christine Enigma ... ffits her perfectly.

I only get the flashing electric icon when it is below freezing ... when it is warmer it doesn't come on. When it does come on I have to wait for the engine to get completely warm so I can turn it off and on again to get it to stop so I can go faster than 30 mph.

She acts like she is running on 3 cylinders sometimes at certain speeds but she will smooth out and run okay sometimes.
