I know it's a Chrysler and not the Dodge but they are practically the same. I'm trying to make up my mind on whether or not to keep it. She just past 100k miles, mechanic claims the work needed (plugs and boots, coolant flush, new hoses, brake fluid flush, etc.) Is going to cost somewhere between 1600-2000.

I can afford it no problem but the issue is I'm not 100% confident in this car. Will I also need to replace the plastic parts the engine uses for the coolant lines. How reliable are the Pentastar and 62TE (when do they usually fail). The transmission although it shifts much smoother that it used to after a software upgrade (and I had them drop the pan at 78k miles), it still occasionally do that irritating sloppy slam shift now and then that is characteristic of the 62TE that the 42LE and 41TE never did. Being that I have back issues, I would like a softer seats and suspension, I'm wondering if some third party seat can be purchased or if the current seat can be modified to be more old school comfort (add a thick layer of softer padding in addition to the existing firm padding and softer struts).
