2012 R/T: How do you work the rear climate control?
So apparently my 5 day old Durango has an electrical wire issue that requires a wire repair. It's really annoying to have bought a new vehicle less than a week ago that already needs to be ripped apart. Shouldn't this have been checked by QC at the factory?
It is BS. They had my **** for 3 days now. And didn't even have a loaner to give me. Me thinking it would be something quick, or just user error, I didn't make an appointment.
Just got a call! Still not fixed. Since the car is so new, there is no wiring diagram available, so they cannot find the problematic wire and another tech has to take a crack at it. And they still have no loaners available. So I have to pick it up and reschedule for when they have one available. F*&kin BS!!!! But they're giving us a rental! Looking like I'm only gonna get 2 weeks out of my first month of ownership!

Wtf! I cannot possibly get any worse with Dodge. So I go to pick up the rental and go to my D to get my iPod and baby seats and noticed my whole interior is in pieces. Not comforting. Meet with the enterprise guy and sign everything. Now they are giving me a brand new Journey that they literally just got today. 17 miles on it. We are doing the exterior inspection before I take off when the enterprise agent finds that the car has automatically locked with the keys inside. Car has Keyless Go and is not supposed to do that. So they have no other rentals available and I have to go to work. This is just asinine. I just cannot win with Dodge for the life of me.*And who knows how long it will take to solve my issue.
Anyway here is my D in pieces:

Rule #1
That is not how you diagnose an electrical issue. If you don't have the diagrams, you don't just rip into everything. What a disastrous Dealership.
**** them. Leave them your keys and paperwork, then mail your photos to the bank loan folks.
Walk in with the local news crew right behind you. Leave with some other vehicle.

I wish it were that simple to just exchange it for a new vehicle at this point.
Tell me about it. If you were in the neighborhood yesterday, you know how bad the storm was. This was when the keys got stuck in the Journey. Had to wait an hour for a tow truck to break into the car. Lightning was striking telephone poles right outside the rental agency. A lot of the street lights on 35 were not working. I barely made it to work on time. It was like a scene from a movie!
Notice this yellow clip left in the body right next to the right taillight? I bet that clip is gonna get broken because the tech is not gonna properly pull it out of the body and put it back into the panel before trying to put the panel back on. I bet he's just gonna try to smash the panel right back into place with that clip still in the body.
