So apparently I have been spending more Money than I realized on my truck and tools
As the title suggests, I added up all of the money that I have been spending on my truck and tools during the last month and a half (pretty much the time period that I have been a member of this forum). Let's just say that wife isn't happy with the $1,700 total... Holy crap...
For the most part, my wife isn't very happy because she doesn't see why I had to do things like upgrading the exhaust and intake, etc...
A lot of that amount is tools and supplies (mostly for "unnecessary" things as defined by my wife), most of which I still have and will continue to have. The only project I have left to complete is the taurus efan, but everything is already purchased for that. I am just waiting for the wiring to arrive from dccontrol.com.
I have made a LOT of progress with the truck and I am happy, but even still... I didn't realize that I spent so much. It was mostly just a bunch of tiny amounts that added up.
Let this be a warning to the rest of you lol
On the bright side, there isn't much more left for me to do other than the future v8 swap. Now I pretty much have all of the supplies and tools that I need and it will just cost me some of my time for now on.

I'm afraid it'll take a bit more than just doing the dishes. I'm going to have to step up my game considerably to get her back into
mode
On the bright side still, I enjoy my truck. I just need to get better at budgeting time for me to tinker with it. Because she pointed out how much time I was spending with it, I have made an effort not to put it before her. Unfortunately, now it is taking me longer to get the simplest of tasks completed. I now can work on it after she has gone to bed, but it gets annoying always having to do things in the dark! We both make compromises... it's apart of being in a serious relationship
lol

Actually they do pretty well at not getting ran over when merging into traffic. Going the maximum speed, wide open throttle, of like 110 mph it still gets better gas mileage than our trucks lol She wasn't thrilled, but I had to test it lol
They certainly aren't powerful, but they are amusing trying to see how good you can get the mpg by coasting as much as possible and running just on electricity by lightly pressing on the gas pedal. They ride very smoothly and the turn radius is to die for, of course. There is plenty of room inside as well. If the intentions are just to drive around and be super comfortable and economical, the prius is golden. We use it for all of our trips and errands that we do together. However, when I'm alone, I prefer my truck
