Greetings everyone, this is my first post, as I just bought a 2004 Dakota 4x4 Quad cab with the 4.7L engine, 5 speed auto and factory towing package. I want to buy a repair manual but seems like the 2004 is the "red headed step child" of Dakota's. Lots on ebay & some on craigslist for 2003's and earlier and 2005's and later but only a couple for 2004's. Is there a major difference in the 2004's? What are your recommendations for the best manual for this model?

As far as I know nothing really changed from 03-04...for manuals I'd go with either a haynes or chilton, they seem to be the most popular. Welcome to the forum and best of luck

Ah another 2004. yeah everything says it will work until 2003 but what I figured out that those parts for an 03 should fit for a 04. I forget what manual I have, I wanna say it is a haynes.

 

Great, another 04 QC with a 4.7, Welcome to the forums, Great bunch of people around here and full of Information. I bought Chilton and a Haynes. the Haynes has more information than the Chilton
