My alternater has finally gave up after 200k miles. I have a 2003 Dakota with the 3.9L V6 in it & it is hard finding at model at any junk yards. I might have to buy a new one but that is about $150 & I dont make a lot of money so I might have to go a cheaper route. Does anyone know of any other vechiles that has the same match that I could look up & try to find a match?

 

Have you tried the same model Durango? A lot of parts from those will work in our Daks.

 

I think I saw once on Advanced Auto Parts website it list other vechiles with that part. I think I was looking for the washer fluid pump. Might try that. I know I found my alternator at a local salvage yard. No one had a actual vehicle in the inventory but they had the part.
