Default Dehydrated Foods

Hard to believe I couldn't find any discussion on this.

Wanting to hear who has tried which brands of dehydrated or freeze dried foods. I want to use for a weekend and enjoy the food.

Thanks in advance!

I have had military grade mre's and ive recently ordered a pack of wise company food.

http://wisefoodstorage.com/

The mre's arent the greatest but in a pinch they will do and the wise company food is better so far ive only tried the savory stroganoff and it was ok. You can get a sample from them if you wish. Thats what I did.

Thanks for the input! Great reviews on that stroganoff.

I see Wise in a lot of places, but I don't know if they are just marketing much better or if they are better. In this day/age, being a little prepared seems to be smart.

Mountain House seems to have good reviews, too. In the long run, I hear, it's best to actually need them, as in be hungry; they're not great, no matter what words are on the package.

I've saw a lot of different reviews on it. Some like mountain house brand and others like wise. I wouldnt totally relay on it when camping but good to keep in a vehicle when your out hunting or camping and you just need a something to hold you over. Everything can be fixed with pepper and salt lol

Tiny bit of prep. So the 30 year stuff is what I'm looking for. Buy it, throw in the basement and hopefully forget about it.

There are better items for hikers, but most don't seem to have the caloric values they need.
