Default Leaving the dodge world

If you believed that title for a second, you are one gullible SOB. But with that said, we value the Allison transmission over the Cummins engine.

We looked at 2 trucks at 2 different dealers. One was an 05 3/4 ton with 160,000 miles on the good LLY motor for $16,9 with cloth interior and they refused to haggle even 2,000. This one is an 01 1-ton with 126,000 miles on the injector and water pump plagued LB7 motor. Listed 12,999 and we stole it for 10,300. Has fresh water pump and questionable injectors, but we can afford those and still be under the 3/4 ton price.

And it has Firestone airbags
And it has adjustable shocks
And it has a perfect leather interior
And it has EGT and boost gauges in the A pillar
And it has a class 5 2.5" hitch

Wow that's a nice truck!

I see the Ram in your driveway but did you get rid of your Dak?

What are your plans for this beast/what are you using it for? Hauling your Camaro?

camaro is sold, we have a dragster now. Dragster requires 32 foot enclosed trailer. Long enclosed trailer requires big truck.

My dak lives in the street now.

And we found a bunch of Banks Engineering paperwork in the center console tonight......

Took the truck to dinner, and I had more legroom in the extended cab back seat, than I do in the ram's quad cab back seat.....I'm 5'10 in the backseat and my mom is 5'3 in the front seat...

I knew it must have been a joke. You maybe able to fool some members, but not all of us.

Ya I doubted it as well.

We owned a 2002 2500 short bed QC, you got a steal on the dually though, we bought our 02 for 14k. I agree that the injectors on these things are questionable, ours were brand new and I still didn't trust them. After a short while we trade it in and upgraded to our current 2007 Classic Silverado 3500 SRW Long Bed Quad Cab LT, I don't have a photo of it sorry. LBZ duramax with a 6 speed Allison, it was once a rancher's truck some really nice bonuses. Came with a class 5 ranch hand steel bumper, we add airbags and a 5th wheel B&W hitch. Sorry Cummins, but the LBZ blows away both the 5.9 and 6.7 of the time and you can make more power easily. I hope your Silverado does well, we've loved ours so far.

The Cummins may be reliable, but the trans isn't. And like you said, the duramax has a bigger aftermarket following
