Looking at picking up a shell for my 2004 dakota. Used ones seem to be around $200-$300 only issue is they arent my color.

I've got two options....try and paint one body color (ive never mixed paint, never painted with a gun, never really finished anything with clear coat, etc. etc.) or rattle can it with plasti dip, like I did my rims and grille and whatnot.

Thoughts on the grayish blue color with a black cap?

Does anybody have a pic of this? Or can som ebody provide a pic of just a blue dakota with a blue cap so I can photoshop it later and see how it'll look?

Another option...spray it with bedliner.

Awesome. that is exactly the pic I needed to see! Looks fine to me especially with black wheels. My truck has a dipped grille and wheels and hood emblem. I think it'll look just fine. I mean, my tonneau cover is a satin-ish black and that looks fine. same idea i guess.

 

picked up a bright yellow leer. Hoping to get it plasti dipped this weekend.
